We look forward to partnering with you to support and inspire our kids ![]() Dear Ranch Elementary Parents, I am honored to have been selected as the instructional leader of this beautiful school as we begin “year 2” at Ranch Elementary. I would like to introduce myself and share with you my excitement for this opportunity, my professional experiences, and goals for the school year. Let me start with my professional experiences. I have been in the field of education for 24 years. I began my teaching career in Nebraska and taught 1st and 2nd grades for five years. After scraping one too many car windshields in the winter, I decided it was time to get out of the cold. I made a major move across the country and decided to settle in Arizona. I began teaching in the J.O. Combs School District in 1991. I have served as Title I Teacher, Curriculum Specialist, Principal at J.O. Combs Elementary School K-8, Kathryn Sue Simonton Elementary School K-8, and Director of Instructional Services. I hold a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University and Principal Credentials from the University of Phoenix. On a personal note, I have been married for 18 years and have two wonderful daughters; my oldest will be a senior and my youngest will be entering 7th grade. Our focus this year at Ranch will be to create a safe learning environment where children want to come to school and strive for academic success. Tomorrow’s leaders are today’s young people and I believe in the importance of guiding students to become responsible and caring individuals. To accomplish this, we must first establish a strong network of communication between home and school. Parent involvement will be the key to our success! During the first quarter of this school year, I will be hosting several Principal’s Round Table discussions. This will be one of many opportunities to share with me your vision of the school and expectations for all those involved in the education of your child(ren). There are several goals that I would like to bring to the table this school year:
Your input and assistance in accomplishing these goals is strongly encouraged. I look forward to getting to know each of you during the coming year and working towards making Ranch Elementary a highly performing and unique place of learning for all students. My door is always open, so feel free to stop in for a visit. Enjoy the rest of your summer! One additional note… Ranch will be going “Green” this year. Please update the front office with your current e-mail address and telephone numbers so we can keep you informed of school activities, calendar of events, newsletters, and reminders from the school. Sincerely,
Susan Kruse, M.Ed. |
