Ranch Elementary School has been working hard and continues to work toward excellence in education. We have made continual growth each year and we will continue to do so. As we continue on our path to excellence, we are asking for you to partner with our school in an effort to increase the school’s student achievement scores and to assist your student in being academically successful. We believe the missing link at our school is a committed partnership between the school and home as it relates to your student’s academic success. It is with great excitement we share the adoption of a new model to reach out and facilitate the creation of this partnership.
On Tuesday, September 3 from 6:00-7:15 p.m. (PK & K), Wednesday, September 4 from 6:00-7:15 p.m. (grades 1-3), and Thursday, September 5 from 6:00-7:15 p.m. (grades 4-6), we will host our first annual Academic Parent Teacher Team (APTT) meetings. Your family will be assigned to your child’s homeroom teacher who will share our school’s label, AIMS data, and your individual student’s academic data. The classroom teacher will teach a lesson related to the school goal and provide you with materials that will be usable at home with your student. During the meeting, the teachers will give you a set of tools to facilitate the creation of a 45-60 day goal to aid your student or students to improve their academic achievement. Attending the APTT meeting will enhance the relationship between school, home and students, which should lead to greater academic success.
We look forward to the partnerships that will be established between school and home. The Academic Parent Teacher Team (APTT) meeting will replace the traditional curriculum nights that we hold through-out the course of the school year. We will maintain our traditions of the I Love To Read Week, talent show, and Multicultural Extravaganza.
